Make A Wish 5K Glow Run at Tennessee Department of Safety Training Center on September 3.
Academy Sports and Scenic City Multisport are joining forces to provide a 5k Glow Run, open to all ages, taking place Saturday, September 3 from 7:30 until 11 p.m. at Tennessee Department of Safety Training Center benefiting Make-A-Wish Mid-South.
“Make-A-Wish is such an important non-profit in their community. I am delighted to be part of this inaugural event for the Nashville office of Make-A-Wish,” says Rick Burleson “It will definitely be a ton of fun and an event not to miss.”
Pre-run festivities will take place at 5:30 p.m. and the run will begin at dark. Participants are encouraged to dress in their best glow attire or costume and will start through a “glow tunnel” including strobe lights, disco lights, blacklights, and music.
Various glow stations will surround the course, and each participant will collect glow items along the way. Glowing racers will illuminate the streets and end with the final glow dance.
Prizes will be awarded for having the brightest, flashiest and most reflective attire.
